A Very Important Day Indeed

This morning I decided to take the kids to the OC Fair. I had 55 dollars, but thank goodness my husband realized the faultiness of my thinking and transferred me 100 more, for I spent it all, and could have spent much more, easy. We ate and got unlimited ride bands for the kids, who rode those rides with zeal, including the gravitron, twice, which both times made Joey look like he was in the depths of hell, but which he loved anyways. Afterwards my sister tells me the gravitron is what killed the 4 year old boy in Florida. Anyways, we had a blast, and I gained a quite beautiful, deep red, extremely splotchy sunburn. I have no idea how my particular type of sunburn came about as I had sunscreen everywhere, but I have it nonetheless. However, none of this made the day Very Important. What did was this... Joseph, my son, my 5 year old last son, lost his first tooth today. A visit from the tooth fairy is in order; she has been summoned, and tonight she will fly in through the magical fairy door that coyotes absolutely cannot get into (the same goes for bad guys) and leave the son a prize, most likely 5 dollars, as that it the standard for first teeth. Congrats to Joey, who incidentally begins kindergarten on Monday. The kids, they're making me old.
